Crisis Support

Our work has evolved continuously in response to local need. Over recent months, we have experienced a very significant upsurge in the number of people coming to us in crisis of one sort or another.

We are now well known for offering sympathetic, non-judgemental and highly effective support to help individuals address a range of crisis situations.

This can be through direct help by Ridge staff, or by signposting to other agencies with whom we have close collaborative relationships.

Some of the situations we are most often asked to help with include:

  • Benefits
  • Mental health
  • Substance abuse
  • Housing
  • Hunger
  • Poverty
  • Criminal incidents
  • Court appearances

This contact can be one-off or more often forms the basis of ongoing support, where we aim to help the individual work through barriers preventing them from realising their full potential. We have supported a number of people from the point of total crisis through to employment.
