We got plans…..

Thanks again to those of you who braved a rather dreich Saturday on 18 May to come along to our Community Day. We had ordered sunshine but it seemed to have arrived a day earlier than requested. The joys of outdoor events during a Scottish summer!

Despite the greyness we had some great conversations around our planned end uses for the buildings in the Black Bull Close – uses that arose out of our Community Consultation with you back in 2017. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside the local community and Council on this project, turning a rather sad looking and unused part of the town centre into a Community Support Centre capable of effecting transformational change for all as well as offering modern creative spaces for a dynamic and creative town.

When completed these buildings will be truly multi-functional, providing a base for many of the Ridge support services and a much needed drop-in centre. We are very fond of our hut in the Backlands Garden but it can be a bit of a squeeze at times. We will be building on the types of training that we currently offer with the introduction of a training kitchen and the opportunity to develop hospitality and event design and management skills.
