Reasons to be cheerful indeed….woop woop and huge thanks to Heritage Lottery Fund who have confirmed their further support of The Ridge and the Black Bull Close project with the announcment of funding for the second phase of development. Hip Hip Hooray!
Last year (2018), we completed the the Clearance of the Close buildings making them safe for supervised groups to visit whilst at the same time running a successful series of community engagement events, opening up the site to local people and visitors to explore and share their history and heritage.
This funding allows us to proceed with Develoment Phase 2 and build on this great engagement work, sustaining momentum to build upon and leverage already generated enthusiasm, and to draw in more people. We have a really exciting and wide-ranging plan in development.
