Kate was a teacher for 16 years before retraining in horticulture. She founded The Ridge in 2012 in response to the local dearth of opportunities for young people to train and access support. As Managing Director, she oversaw the organisation’s rapid growth until late 2024, when she decided to take a step back into a part-time role overseeing the development of our various sites.
