It’s all going on in the Black Bull Close buildings

Thanks to the funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership our clearance at the historic buildings in the Black Bull Close is moving on apace. C and G Developments are doing a sterling job of lifting and shifting decades of rubbish and taking great care to preserve the ‘treasures’ that are painting the picture of Dunbar’s social history. Working closely with Addeyman Archaeology and the county archaeology services, we can ensure that due care is taken over the work being carried out within the ruined buildings and leaving no stone unturned ( excuse the pun!) we are excited about what we are going to be left with – beautiful, evocative and atmospheric ruins where all sorts of events can be imagined.

Our community engagement duo, Kevin McClure and Margaret McCole are rolling out a series of events over the summer. Ther are many exciting and unusual events and workshops in the offing so don’t miss out. We will be keeping our Facebook feed, twitter and website up to speed as dates are confirmed but feel free to email Kevin or Maggie direct, they are always happy to talk about the project or answer any concerns and there are weekly pictures of the progress on Facebook for those of you who just can’t wait to see it.
