We have at last got the drawings and brief historical info from the archaeologists. Historic Environment Scotland (formerly RCAHMS) prepared drawings, in part using OUR survey, which were then used by Tom Addyman’s team. Their historical information does not go much beyond what we already knew but does give a professional/formal stamp to this base…

The Backlands Garden is open
The Backlands Garden is officially open for the summer. The garden is fully accessible to all. Members of the public are invited to pop in between the hours of 10-4 every Thursday and Friday to have a look and keep up to date with the latest goings on in the Garden.

It’s been a busy and exciting time at The Ridge recently – in February we started our fantastically successful Plenty Project. The Plenty Project is designed for people who want to learn how, what and why to cook on a limited budget. Five sessions include classes on budgeting, nutrition and practical cooking.
