Archaeology Black Bull Close Funding Volunteering

Announcing continued support from the Architectural Heritage Fund

We are super delighted to announce continued funding from the Architectural Heritage Fund. This support allows us to push on with Phase 2 of the development stage of the Black Bull Close project. The funding will be used to cover the costs of professional fees such as planning, archaeology and excavation as well as contributing to the next stage of community engagement. The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF)  promotes the conservation and sustainable re-use of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK and we are thrilled with the confidence and continued support AHF has shown in The Ridge, the Black Bull Close project and ultimately, Dunbar.

The Black Bull Close project is breathing new life into a neglected, almost past the point of saving, historically important part of the Dunbar townscape. The AHF’s funding, skill-base and knowledge is helping us to create and grow a vibrant space to live, work and thrive.
