We are devastated to share with you the news of John Irvine’s death this week. John was a Trustee of The Ridge SCIO and Chair of The Ridge Foundations CIC since 2018 until ill health forced him to step down. He was a very important, valued member of The Ridge community who made significant personal contributions to our work. He gave tirelessly of his time and energy and brought valuable property expertise from his professional career to our building projects. He cared deeply about creating life-transforming training opportunities for local people. We are going to miss him hugely.
His funeral will take place on 10 April at 1pm in Binning Memorial Woods, followed by a gathering at the Harbour Chapel, Dunbar.
The family have asked The Ridge gardens to do the flowers. If you would like to mark John’s passing, donations can be made to The Ridge.
