Announcing New Intake
Following the success for our Constructing Futures programmes in 2023, 2024 and 2025, we are delighted to announce the launch of our latest 2026 Constructing Futures pre-apprenticeship programme, designed by The Ridge.
The purpose is to help participants develop an understanding of apprenticeship and employment opportunities available in the construction trades. Each participant will gain knowledge of various career opportunities within the trades, basic entry-level skills, construction experience through work placements with local employers, plus familiarity with trade tools, terminology and basic principles.
This 12-week, no-cost construction and life skills programme encourages self-sufficiency through skills training and education in the construction industry. Successful participants will achieve a National Progression Award (NPA) in Construction and Craft and Technician at SCQF level 4.
The programme will run from Monday 16 March through Thursday 4 June 2026 and are now accepting applications. The programme requires that you be available to attend throughout the 12 week period with no holidays planned. We highly recommend getting your applications in as soon as possible. The final deadline is Sunday 15 February. You will need to be available for an in-person interview. These will take place during the week commencing Monday 23 February 2026.
To apply, please complete the application form and, ideally, upload your CV to https://wkf.ms/3LBdJdD. You can also open the application form using the QR code below. For any enquiries email Robbie Reid at robbie@the-ridge.org.uk.
