Our beautiful ‘bird’ gate at the Backlands Garden on Garden Lane really is a beauty. Designed and built by Robin Wood of Wild Child Designs, it has attracted much attention over the years; everyone wants to reach out and touch it.
The bird in the gate is a Gannet, the wonderful annual visitor to the Firth of Forth although it has often been commented upon as being like a Phoenix rising from the ashes – much like our wonderful Backlands Gardens.
