In 2016, with financial support from East Lothian Council, we completed a feasibility study on how we could develop new community facilities as part of planned developments on the outskirts of Dunbar.
Although we are in contact with the developers, and have shared ideas on what could be done, we do not control either the nature or the timing of whatever is developed on that site.
Nevertheless, we thought we should assess the feasibility of the kinds of things that could be done – their nature, their impact and their cost.
This study shows that such development is feasible but it will rely upon securing substantial funding both for the initial investment in the development, and to sustain whatever facilities are created.
