Robin Dickson Exhibition

We’re very pleased to be able to host a small exhibition of acrylic works by the late Robin H Dickson (1952 –2014), who lived in Dunbar.

The exhibition is on from 23rd April 2015 through to 15th June 2015 in the the Bleachingfield Centre.

Robin graduated with a Diploma in Art in 1976, from Duncan of Jordanstone College, Dundee. He then went on to work at Harker’s Studios, London (creating scenery for stage and TV shows). Most recently he gained a post-graduate Diploma in Art Therapy, 1994, Glasgow Caledonian University and was Art Director and tutor with Orcadia Creative Learning Centre, Portobello.

Robin, over many years, painted the East Lothian landscape in its different seasons and weathers, but the current exhibition focuses on his dance works of 2008-2011, created with acrylic on canvas.

A list of the exhibited Dance Works by Robin H Dickson and pricelist.

He wrote of this work:

The paintings are a celebration of dance drawn from memory. I express the inner feelings, the vitality and energy of the movement and music through the line and colour. In these paintings I use imagination of what the performer may feel. I explore the space they move through and the energy required.

50% of any sales will benefit Ridge projects with the other 50% going to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, a charity Robin
wished to support.

In early June, we hope to exhibit Robin’s landscapes, in time for summer visitors.
