With Thanks – Funding Update

The work carried out by The Ridge depends on, in no short measure to the invaluable support and donations from our funders. We would like to thank, in no particular order:

East Lothian Council who have granted us £30,000 in Partnership Funding, “in support of and commitment to the Ridge, for the contribution we make to the wellbeing and vibrancy of our community.”

Foundation Scotland has awarded £1,525 to run a short Stone Masonry Training Course in the Backlands in September. This will focus on traditional skills for restoration of historic walls.

We will use this grant  to subsidise some places on the course – there would be a (very reasonable) charge to those who can afford to pay, but some free/subsidised places will be available.

The Ridge Cafe received £500 from the Dunbar Area Partnership for the Hungry Hatch summer holiday initiative.

This is an exciting and worthwhile venture, reducing food waste and bringing the community together and we couldn’t do it without our wonderful suppliers, volunteers, Sustaining Dunbar and Zero Waste Dunbar as well as our local food suppliers.
